Between two ancient craters
Monte Ilice & Monte Gorna
Trecastagni sits on the south-eastern side of Etna, and our vineyard lies in the corridor between Monte Ilice and Monte Gorna, two extinct cones that shape the exposure, the wind and the light on these rows. It is a fragmented landscape: a few hundred metres change the soil, the altitude and the hour the sun leaves the slope.

A fragmented mountain
On Etna, plots a short walk apart give different wines. Altitude, exposure and the age of the lava underneath all move, and so do the growers reading them. That variety is what first drew us here, and what we work with.

Why we exist
To preserve and interpret what is distinctive about Sicilian wine and culture, and to build contemporary ways of sharing it beyond the place where it comes from.
